JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com — Previously, Sony Corporation Japan charged Sony Arianto Kurniawan, owner of the Sony-AK domain, for hitching on Sony Corp's brand for his site. Sony Corp. has now apologized, according to Sony AK when contacted by Kompas.com, Wednesday.
Sony AK stated that Sony Corp. Japan and Sony Indonesia have apologized to him when he met their representatives on Tuesday afternoon. The meeting was attended by a representative from Sony Corp. Japan and the President Director of Sony Indonesia. "Yes, they apologized immediately, both of them," stated Sony AK.
Regarding the conclusion of the meeting, Sony AK wasn't willing to comment yet. "I can't comment yet, we're still discussing." He stated that he is still waiting for the finalization of some issues between him and Sony Corporation. "In the coming few days, this week, there will be a result."
Previously, Sony Corp. Japan had accused Sony-ak.com for some similarities with Sony's official domain. The accusation inflamed many on Facebook and blogs. (C12-09/C17-09)
