JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com — Central board chairman of the National Mandate Party (PAN), Hatta Rajasa, Jakarta, Tuesday evening, inaugurated the PAN central board members for 2010-2015.
A few artists have been listed to be in PAN's board since PAN's congress in Batam some time ago. Those names include: Helmi Yahya, Eko Patrio, and Primus Yustisio.
Two members of the United Indonesia II cabinet are also in PAN's board, they are: Minister for Law and Human Rights Patrialis Akbar and Forestry Minister Zulkifli Hasan. Other prominent names include Didik J. Rachbini, and politics observer, Bima Arya Sugiharto.
Hatta inaugurated the new PAN board members together with PAN deputy chairman Dradjad Wibowo and PAN secretary general Taufik Kurniawan.
After the inauguration, Hatta stated that the young generation is getting a large portion in PAN's board now. "Their presence hopefully can strengthen the party through their youthful spirit."
Questioned about the cabinet reshuffle, Hatta was reluctant to comment. "It's fully the president's right and it would be inappropriate for a minister to comment on it."
Regarding Century, Hatta said that everything was still in data gathering stage. "It's still the preliminary stage now, just wait for PAN's final view later." (C17-09)
