Clearing the rubble at Tanah Abang after the collapse

TERKAIT:

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - The evacuation of victims from the collapsed building that is under construction at Tanah Abang shopping district, Central Jakarta, Wednesday, is still ongoing with a number of heavy machineries and fire-engines. But the evacuation is hampered because of the people crowding to see the incident.

Besides, the building under construction that collapsed is between two other buildings, and it's not very wide. So far only a medium-sized forklift has been able to approach the location.

So far six victims have been evacuated to Tarakan Hospital under critical conditions. Based on the information from the location, all the victims are male. However their full identities are still unknown. (Fikria Hidayat/C17-09)
