JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com — Some construction workers got trapped when the third floor of a building collapsed at the Tanah Abang Wholesale Center, Central Jakarta, Wednesday.

According to a police officer from the Tanah Abang Jakarta Police, police commissioner attendant Saiful, the building which is under construction next to Focus Hotel was only four months old. It's still unclear what caused the collapse.

Saiful predicted that there are many victims. Behind the building there are a cafeteria and a coffee stall, which are often crowded at that time of the day. Six victims have been transported to Tarakan Hospital and their conditions are still unclear. (HIN/C17-09)
