Accused Antasari Azhar sheds tears to hear Williardi Wizar's confession at the State Court of South Jakarta (November 10, 2009)

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com — Former chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission, Antasari Azhar, through his legal team, goes to the Indonesia's National Commission on Human Rights (Komnas HAM) to report what they claim to be the plot to frame their client in the murder case of the Putra Rajawali Banjaran director, Nasrudin Zulkarnaen, to the National Human Rights Commision  (Komnas HAM)

"We plan to go to Komnas HAM to report the entrapment in this case," said Hotma Sitompul, member of Antasari Azhar's legal team, in between the trial sessions for Antasari Azhar, who is the accused in the murder case of Nasrudin Zulkarnaen, at the State Court of South Jakarta, Tuesday.

Previously, the former South Jakarta Police chief Sr. Comr. Williardi Wizar, who is also an accused in the allegedly murder case, stated, that Antasari's case is an entrapment. In his testimony in Antasari's trial, Williardi mentioned the names of Police chief Gen. Bambang Hendarso Danuri, former vice-chairman of the Criminal Detective Body Irjen Hadiatmoko, and Criminal Detective Director of the Jakarta Police - Great Commissioner M. Irawan.

He stated that the reason to report to Komnas HAM was because there were two police investigation reports (BAP) for Williardi Wizar, which were on April 29 and April 30. "We question why those two BAP files were gone or weren't attached," said Hotma.

In those two files, he said, Williardi stated there were no persuasion or command from Antasari Azhar in the murder case. "I beg the panel of judges to present the investigator that Williardi mentioned in the trial," Horma continued.

He also highlighted, in the testimony of the other witnesses, Sigit Haryo Wibisono and Rani Juliani, nowhere was it stated that Antasari Azhar instructed the murder. "This case is too tampered," he said.

Meanwhile, Williardi's wife, Nova Williardi, confirmed all her husband's statement in court. "All my husband's statements are true," she said. (C17-09)
