DENPASAR, KOMPAS.com - Sanglah General Hospital here on Sunday afternoon received another Influenza A or H1N1 suspect. The patient, Wayan Wati Rowling (34), was born in Bail but married  an Australian and changed her nationality into Australian, a source of the hospital said.

With the admission of Wayan Wati Rowling, the hospital is now treating  seven  H1N1 or swine flu patients. The seven include two Indonesians - Rahmat Irwansyah (30) and Yogi Prayogo. Both patients are residents of Jakarta.

The other four are Richard Lochner (40) of New Zealand,  Michael Partin (19) of the United States, Stephen Carruters (22) and  Heater Casey (54) of Australia. I Gusti Lanang Suartana, head of  Sanglah General  Hospital’s Medical Service unit, said here on Monday,  the patients’ conditions in general were improving.

The two Indonesians, however, were placed in a different isolation room from the foreigners’ room as the locals just had high fever but no indications of other H1N1 symptoms. Last Friday (July 10),  Sanglah General  Hospital again received  two more suspected H1N1 sufferers, after admitting Robert Lochner (40), a New Zealand national, last Wednesday (July 8).

Dr Agus Somia, head of the hospital’s H1N1 treatment team, confirmed on Saturday (July 11) that an American identified by his initials as MP (19) and an Indonesian national, RI, were taken  to the hospital on Friday. "The two H1N1 suspects are currently receiving intensive treatment at the Nusa Indah Isolation room, Sanglah Hospital, in Denpasar," he said.

The two patients’ symptoms were high fever, coughing and flu, he said.  The health ministry’s director general for disease control and environmental health, Tjandra Yoga Aditama, said Sunday the number of patients positively infected by the H1N1 flu virus nationwide had reached a total of 64, or 12 more cases since 52 cases were reported on Thursday.
