KOMPAS.com - Incumbent presidential candidate Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono said on Saturday that pluralism would be a factor for determining his cabinet ministers if he wins his second terms in the upcoming presidential elections.

"Pluralism is important but quality may not be ignored as cabinet members are expected to be able to work according to their expertise," he was quoted by Antara as saying during his campaign stop in Pekanbaru, Riau.

When asked if he would consider local figures, he said: "I have not come to that point."

Yudhoyono travelled to Sumatra, while his challengers Jusuf Kalla went to Papua and Megawati Soekarnoputri to West Java.

Meanwhile, Yudhoyono's campaign team member Ramadan Pohan said that based on internal surveys, Yudhoyono should collect 70 percent of votes in North Sumatra and other areas in Sumatra.
