JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Presidential spokesperson Andi Malarangeng was jolly to report Tuesday that a recent survey by the National Survey Agency (LSN) revealed that his boss would lead in the upcoming presidential election by 67 percent.

“Praise be to God, according to LSN survey, the Yudhoyono-Boediono pair leads by 67 percent,” Andi said on the sidelines of the commemoration of National Education Day 2009 in Bandung on Tuesday.

If the survey comes to reality, he said, the election will only be held in one round. The Presidential Election Law states that must be held twice if no candidates win more than 50 percent of votes.

The election will be held on July 8. (adh)
