TERKAIT:

KOMPAS.com - Boediono, incumbent president Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono's pick for vice presidential candidate for the election, has left for Bandung, West Java, early on Friday to announce the pair's nomination.

Boediono, accompanied by his wife Herawati, left his home at around 6:45 a.m.. He did not tell much to the journalists waiting outside his house.

Yudhoyono, also chief patron of the legislative election winning Democratic Party, is anticipated to officially announce Boediono's nomination in Bandung on Friday.
Yudhoyono's naming Central Bank Govenor Boediono as his  running mate has met with the outraged challenges from the parties that supported his coalition and re-election efforts.

The Prosperous Justice Party (PKS), which has largely objected Yudhoyono's decision, has questioned the Boediono's faith in Islam, saying that he “is not a proper representation of Islam.” (dre)
